Crazy First Day in Indonesia’s BIGGEST City, Jakarta🇮🇩
Today is our first full day in Jakarta Indonesia after arriving yesterday so we are hitting the streets and visiting the most iconic landmark in the city, the national monument. However what awaited us there was VERY unexpected…
As we approached, we realised lots of army troops, guns, tanks and armoured vehicles were stationed here. After speaking to quite a few locals it turns out it’s the 80th Birthday and celebrations for the Army.
From wanting to sightsee the monument turned out to be awesome crazy adventure through the Indonesian Army & Military Equipment on display, something Teigan or I have ever seen before.
We ended up going to the top of the national monument after a potential ticket scam/overcharge, and we were toured around the top whilst in awe of the Jakarta skyline.
This was definitely a worthy title of a “Crazy First Day” and some even crazier first impressions of what’s to come over the next week. The locals have been so kind so far and we outdent be more exited to adventure and discover this city, so sit back, relax and join us for this crazy adventure…🇮🇩
