Ironbridge power station, or otherwise known as Buildwas power station was situated in the Ironbridge Gorge, on the bank of the River Severn, in the British Midlands. I can finally reveal the location because unfortunately on the 6th of December 2019, the four iconic cooling towers were brought down, marking the end of this once coal fired power station.
In this video we got caught in an untouched abandoned power station. There were two power stations on this site, the first of which started construction in 1929 and was decommissioned in 1981. The second larger station was commissioned in 1969 and stopped producing power on 20th November 2015.
Unfortunately I didn't get to explore the cooling towers and control rooms which I most wanted to see because I got caught by security and had to leave pretty sharpish. I had been caught on security cameras at a different location once already that day. :(
Well here's the bit of footage that I did get. Enjoy Folks!

I do not recommend anyone exploring these abandoned places, they are very dangerous, we explore so you don't have to!
We do not break and enter, we do not steal and we do not vandalise. We take only pictures and leave only footprints.
Thanks for watching!
