📍 Yana Caves → Gangavali River → Maravanthe Beach | Karnataka, India (Cinematic + FPV)
Welcome to one of Karnataka’s most dramatic natural landscapes — Yana Caves, located deep in the lush Western Ghats. Yana is known for its gigantic black limestone rock formations rising sharply from dense rainforest — the Mohini Shikhara and Bhairaveshwara Shikhara.
🏞️ How Yana Caves Were Formed
Millions of years ago, volcanic activity underneath the Earth caused molten material to rise and mix with limestone deposits. As the mixture cooled rapidly, it solidified into the rugged, jagged towers we see today. Over time, heavy monsoon rains and winds shaped the rocks into their current dramatic form.
At the base of the formation lies a Shiva temple, making Yana both a geological wonder and a sacred pilgrimage site.
🚗 How to Get to Yana Caves
📍 Location: Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka, India
Nearest towns:
Sirsi — 40 km
Gokarna — 50 km
Directions:
Navigate to “Yana Parking” on Google Maps.
From there, trek 1.5–2 km (15–25 mins) to reach the caves.
Wear comfortable shoes — trail may be slippery during monsoon.
Best time to visit: October to February
🚁 FPV Cinematic Segment — Gangavali (Gangavati) River
Right after Yana Caves, the video transitions into FPV shots captured at the Gangavali River (also called Gangavati River locally). This river flows through untouched landscapes surrounded by dense forests and farmlands.
Why this location is special:
Crystal-clear flowing water cutting through green valleys
Untouched, raw nature — perfect for FPV freestyle flying
Calm, open riverbanks with no crowds
This section was filmed using the GEPRC MK5 O4 Pro FPV drone, capturing fast, dynamic, and close-proximity shots that reveal the natural curves of the river from a perspective you never get to see from the ground.
🏖️ Final Location: Maravanthe Beach
The last part of the video was shot at Maravanthe Beach, one of India’s most surreal coastal highways.
Unique because:
Arabian Sea on one side 🌊
Souparnika River flowing parallel on the other 🌅
A scenic highway running between them
Nearby: Trasi Beach, Kuru, Padunarkali
This is one of the few places in India where you can witness river + road + sea in a single frame — stunning during sunset and perfect for drone cinematics.
