Filming videos in a tiny office | vlog
I'm writing and filming lectures for a course. I've been quietly making video tests, but I decided to make a fun video out of my tests.
I don't mention it, but the other thing I'm trying to figure out is how to do this quickly and make it look good. All shots are as-is out of camera, and yes I have since ordered some blackout curtains. This video took roughly an hour to shoot, then something like 8 hours to edit. I'm working on that.
My lenses are the "4" f/2 lenses nicknamed the Fujicron lenses, though one is actually an f/2.8 and another I'm thinking I'm going to sell (see the part about focus breathing). I refer to and use each lens as their full frame equivalents, and not their APS-C ratings.
24mm = Wide = Fujinon XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR (24.0mm f/4.2)
35mm = Norm = Fujinon XF 23mm f/2.0 R WR (34.5mm f/3.0)
50mm = Hmm = Fujinon XF 35mm f/2.0 R WR (52.5mm f/3.0)
75mm = Tele = Fujinon XF 50mm f/2.0 R WR (75.0mm f/3.0)

Some vloggers like Peter McKinnon and Matti Haapoja cover a lot of camera and filmmaking stuff, but their content is maybe a bit more aspirational than useful. Moment, the lens company for mobile phones make some good content. Not to mention there is a lot of crossover between the Photography and Filmmaking communities here on YouTube.

Christopher Frost the photographer tests out so many lenses, most notably cheap lenses. Highly recommended for grasping what lenses at various price points can do. EposVox and Alpha Gaming cover a lot of gear for livestreaming, but again, there is much crossover.
Long story short, you need to take in a lot of information, spend some money (hopefully not too much), and try stuff out. That's my advice.
