Roland Reed was an American photographer who was part of a movement of like minded photographers called pictorialists.
Pictorialists didn't photograph what they saw before them, they photographed scenes specifically to portray Native Americans in their natural environment, they were meticulous in accurately recording their culture.
He spent years with the Blackfoot, Salish and Cheyenne as well as photographing the Hopi and Navajo.
Reeds photographs live on but sadly today he is mostly forgotten.
