Manila Bay Rehabilitation started on January 27, 2019. Only a few days after, several photos of the cleaner shore of Manila Bay went viral. Thanks to the netizens who posted the photos! People now are starting to respond and want to see the cleaner Manila Bay.
I visited Manila Bay on February 3, 2019 and was surprised by the number of local tourists in Manila Bay. I was expecting few people in the area but I was wrong. Everyone was excited to see the once trashy and super polluted bay of Manila.
Finally, the gray sands of Manila Bay are now visible. People even lay towels and foil pads in the shore to hang out and relax. I know that it will take take for Manila Bay to heal but Duterte admin along with the volunteers are doing a great job!
