Based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system, the game is a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II. The game was originally slated for release on PC and consoles in 2020,[1][2] but this was later changed to 2021.[3]
