Using AI to predict epileptic seizures
Daniel Goldenholz, MD, PhD, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, discusses the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to predict seizures in epileptic patients. By inputting data via electronic diaries, the AI can predict the likelihood of seizures. The hope is that the AI system will be a better predictor than a chance predictor. This interview took place during the Virtual World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) 2020.
