Here are 9 things to know about using public transportation:
✅Plan your trip: Use Google Maps to get familiar with your route before heading out. Knowing the major bus stops or train stations can be helpful once you miss your way.
✅Arrive at the bus stop early: It’s a good idea to arrive at your bus stop 5 minutes early so you don’t miss your appointments.
✅Wait in line for your turn: If other people are waiting to enter the bus before you, queue behind them and allow them to go in before you.
✅Have your transport fare ready: You can get a monthly bus pass. If you intend to pay cash, get the exact amount because most drivers will not give you change.
✅Learn how to put your bicycle in the transit bike rack.
✅Allow those leaving the bus exit first before you enter. Exit through the back door if possible.
✅Vacant the front seat for disabled people, seniors and expectant mothers.
✅Don’t put your bag on a seat instead put it on your lap.
✅Don’t throw your garbage on the floor instead take them with you.
