On Saturday night, Aug. 20, 2011, on a walkabout in lower Manhattan, Mo Krochmal heard the sound of motorcycles, lots of them. Ahead, the streets were blocked off and choppers kept cruising by. Hurrying to the corner, the bikes continued to pass by. On the streets, people were waving American flags, and fire trucks and police cars had their lights flashing. This was the culmination of a ride that began Thursday in Somerset, Pa., and ended at Ground Zero in New York. Close to 2,000 riders rode to New York City to remember the 9/11 victims and the first responders that day.
