Team Vlaams-Brabant is working together with the local government to bridge the gap between retailers and people with disabilities. The students started with giving people who have a disability the chance to express the issues they face in retail daily. Based on their feedback they decided to focus on a solution that makes clothing stores more inclusive and accessible for everyone. For this to be viable, it is important that it provides added value to the clothing store itself and leads to an increase in revenue.
To achieve their goals, the team created TOF-E (thinking of everyone). It is a new way of shopping that blends the physical shopping experience with the online world. Through the use of tablets provided in the stores, customers are directly connected to the in-store stock, together with the online webshop. It provides the store owner with endless possibilities to reorganize their store and improve the customer experience for everyone, especially those with disabilities! If you want to learn more about this idea and its possibilities, make sure to check out the website that will be online soon!
