In this video I go through a basic tutorial on how to use Tinkercad. Tinkercad is free web based software that allows people to create 3D objects. I sign up/sign in, use shapes to create an outline, and group shapes to cut out the parts I don't want. I show how to make a rounded fillet type edge in Tinkercad. This is a great project to get kids interested in 3D printing/modeling. You do not need a 3D printer to try Tinkercad and I recommend it for entry level 3D design ideas. Tinkercad is run by Autodesk which is a highly respected company in the 3D printing world. In Part 2 of the video, I will show the printing process on my Da Vinci 1.0 Pro and print the cell phone holder in Hatchbox's glow-in-the-dark filament. Hope you find the tutorial interesting and easy.
