Bad Wheel Hub Bearing Example (Caused Clunk, Clicking Noise, ABS Light)
This is what a bad wheel hub bearing can look like during diagnosis. This hub bearing was so worn and loose that it damaged the ABS sensor, caused the ABS system to fail, and dash light to come on. I heard some clunks, and a clicking noise a few times while going around a turn, I assume the clicking sound was the abs sensor rubbing on the abs ring. I thought it was an axle going bad, but the axles were fine. While inspecting the car I found the bad hub bearing. I also show you what a good hub bearing is supposed to be like. It's difficult to hear a bearing whine on this vehicle because the car is very well sound insulated. This is a 2008 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer.
