This one comes to us from our pal Scott Prouty, who, I believe, learned it from Bruce Greene. The complete title of this song is "Tell Her Lies and Feed Her Candy", which, apart from not being very sound advice, is sort of clunky, so we decided to shorten it. This tune comes from a Porter Wagner song of the same name. Did some old fiddler hear the song on the radio and decide it would make a good fiddle tune, or did the songwriter hear the fiddle tune and decide to set words to it? We may never know...but my guess is someone will chime in with an opinion.
