Bending drywall is easy and simple if you know how. A visual description of the proper technique for wetting and bending drywall to prevent it from breaking. How it works:
When bending drywall, one side stretches and the other contracts. You don't need to wet the entire drywall, but only one side. If you wet the stretching side, it will weaken and the drywall will break. The stretching side must be dry and strong. You need to wet the contracting side; the water will weaken the gypsum core and allow it to deform. This way, the drywall bends due to the side closest to the center of the curve.
