For all intents and purposes this is a review of the game Enshrouded. I wanted to create a title that's a bit more than a boring two word message tho. That and there's plenty of competition for the title "Enshrouded Review". Honestly I was super happy I picked this game up during the next fest on steam and realized it was going to be my next obsession. I can't make it clear enough that I really do love this game from front to back, even though it's not perfect. It's one of those games that leaves me wanting more, even when I reach the end. The main hang-up I have is how I usually allow myself only one go around on early access games before they hit full release. The reason for this is I've been lead astray, or what feels like lied to, by so many early access games. I jump in on release and while the early game is strong, then the late or what passes for end game is where the fun tends to putter out. It's the perfect example of a well thought out first season of a show which gets more sketchy with each proceeding season. Enshrouded here has that same problem but to a lesser degree. For that reason I'm super hopeful of how things will change for this game going forward. I want to see if this will turn out to be another "forever early access" game or fit in with a lot of the other titles we've seen recently where they hit their 1.0 release within a reasonable timespan.
