Not Enough Space in SD card even though there is Space. How to Fix the Issue
In case if you are trying to move an app to an SD card and you get the message that you don't have enough space left in your SD card but you think that you have space then let us see what to do. The first thing is this might be a minor issue that can be resolved by simply restarting your phone. The other thing that you will do is you will check actually how much of space is left in your SD card. You might be assuming that you have space left but it's been already taken up by photos or videos. What you will do you will go to settings. You will go to this option Device here. Go to storage and I can see there is an SD card option at the bottom. Out of 1.8 gigabyte I have used 1.2 gigabyte. Still I have 658 MB left. So you need to be sure that there is space left in your SD card. Now the third thing that you will do is you will see what is the space used by an app that you want to move. So let me go to Apps and suppose if I want to move this game to an SD card I will see how much of a space is used by this game. So I can see that there is 274 MB used by this game and then I have 650 Plus space left in my SD card. So this game should move to the SD card. So you also have to make sure that the space which is required by the application to move that same amount of space or more than that space should be left in the SD card. Now still if you cannot move then what you do is again go to settings. Option. Go to this option Device here. Go to storage. Go to SD card. Tap on these three dotted icons. Go to storage settings and what you do you tap on this icon here to unmount the SD card.
So once the SD card is unmounted what you do again tap on the SD card and then mount. So this is like removing the SD card and again reinstalling. You can do the same thing remove the SD card physically from the phone and then re-insert it again. Now if you are using a new SD card make sure that you format the SD card before you use. So if you want to format what you do just tap on the SD card and then select this format option. Now if none of this things fixes the issue then there might be two reasons either the SD card is corrupted which you can confirm by using it in another device or there might be a problem with the Android version that you are using right now and for that one what you need to do is you need to wait for the update and once you get new update for your Android device you can update your Android version and see if you can fix the issue.
