In this video, I demonstrate how to take an un-inspiring photograph and turn it into a great reference image for a watercolor painting. I show you how to straighten the horizon line, remove distracting elements, crop for improved composition and enhance the exposure. #photoshopforartists #referenceimage #watercolor

I prefer to use my own images when I paint in watercolor. I encourage you to do the same. The images you use don't have to be award-winning photographs. In fact, I encourage you to use simple images from every day life. These often make the best reference images for your art.
