Video Explanation:
I saw this video ( • dancing at the ball with your favorite gen... ) and got the idea of the characters dancing in a ballroom. Then I listened to Still With You and I was like wow this fits really well!
Childe is essentially missing Lumine and longing for her. Eventually, they meet at the Northland Bank for the showdown. The idea is that Childe doesn't see the battle as a battle, instead, he sees it as a dance. Hence, why at first Lumine and Childe are all dressed up for a ball in formal clothing, and then it flashes to reality, where they're both covered in blood. This delusion of a dance is the "fog" that is eventually lifted from him.
This video is an alternate ending where Childe actually kills Lumine and then instantly regrets it.
