LaTex | IEEE BUBT Student Branch
IEEE BUBT Student Branch successfully hosted a workshop titled “Workshop on LaTex” virtually as the part of IEEE PES STEP 2021 event. The event was supported by IEEE PES Chapters Student Activities Committee - PES CSAC & IEEE PES STEP.
The workshop on LaTex was held on 26th December 2021 at 7:30 PM (GMT +6). Our Respected Speaker was Md. Mohsin Kabir, Lecturer of Dept. of CSE, Bangladesh University of Business & Technology, Researcher at Advanced Machine Learning Lab, BUBT.
With the lead of Ajmira Noushin Sriti (IEEE PES CSAC Ambassador - PES STEP), Maharin Afroj (Vice-Chair of IEEE NPSS BUBT Student Branch Chapter) welcomed the guests, participants, and the instructor. Then the workshop instructor Md. Mohsin Kabir started the workshop session. At first, Md. Mohsin Kabir talked about what LaTex is and the significance and necessities of learning to use LaTex. He showed some basic ways to use Latex to make required documents, equations, tables etc. He explained how it makes it easy to create documents or reports or thesis papers using LaTex. He also provided us with some materials to help us with learning LaTex. He gave multiple examples to show us various applications. It was a 1 and a half-hour session. Throughout the whole session, our speaker interacted with the participants very actively. After the end of the main session, the moderator of the workshop Ajmira Noushin Sriti started the Q&A session. The participants asked a lot of questions regarding the workshop topics and the instructor answered all the questions properly. He also gave instructions & guidelines for the participants too. The participants thanked the instructor and the organizer. Lastly, the event moderator showed gratitude towards the instructor & participants and gave a token of appreciation to the instructor virtually. The session moderator expressed her thoughts and gave a concluding remark on behalf of the student branch. Then the instructor, Md. Mohsin Kabir accepted the token of appreciation and shared his thoughts with a note of thanks and gave a concluding remark. More than 70+ participants had joined the workshop session. It was a 1.5 hours successful session and all the active participants will be given E-certificates.
