In this fourth episode of our series of documentaries from the Scottish Creations we travel to Shetland. It's the first time that violinist Alastair Savage, who curated the traditional music in the programme, has visited Shetland and he talks about the significance of that for him and about the music he has programmed.
This series of documentaries is taken from our May 2022 tour, Scottish Creations. Scottish Creations was a celebration of the nation's stories - personal, local, folklore and more. Storytelling was not only conveyed through music, both classical and traditional, but also through the visual arts - with the concert touring with an accompanying exhibition, with work from amateur artists and crafters from across Scotland, again all connected with stories.
