BART Car 3042 - The Only BART Car with a Sideways Seating Configuration

BART car 3042, a D car, was reconfigured during the pandemic in 2020 as a pilot in order to maximize social distancing. The D and E cars are built with modular seating which allows the seating arrangements to be reconfigured, if needed.
