The mechanism for implementing sacrificial protection is demonstrated. Criteria for the applicability of the method are outlined. A description of the selection of sacrificial material and the composition of the activator are provided. The structure of a complete sacrificial protector is discussed, along with its labeling. A classification of sacrificial protector types used to protect main pipelines from corrosion is presented.
