Cement is the second-most consumed material in the world after water. It also produces a ton of carbon emissions. But we cannot stop using this material altogether, especially not when we need to build the renewable and net zero facilities of the future – which can’t all be built with wood. What must our government and the cement industry do to ensure cement reduces its emissions and becomes future-ready?
