The story of the song takes place in a poetic and mystery fantasy place. It tells about an outlandish world and a deep longing. And finally coming home after thousands of years of struggle. It has a hand played shehnai - an oriental oboe and violin. This is a new re-mix by Kerim Baghani for my brandnew debut album GHOSTS. The video is from Jerry Suen.

DER TRÄUMER ARTIST BIO:
Basel-based sound designer, film composer and multi-instrumentalist Peter Philippe (Pitt) Weiss is DER TRÄUMER (the dreamer). He creates an unheard and futuristic fusion of ‘electronic music, mystery, poetry and beauty’. Using violin, voice, electric guitar, keyboards and waterphone in combination with self-produced soundscapes, he creates mysterious, cinematic musical soundscapes and driving grooves that take listeners on an adventurous journey into their own imagination.
DER TRÄUMER is an artistic character who explores the boundless, fantastical, surreal geography of dreams, constantly oscillating between wakefulness and dream. He transforms contemporary realities, desires and fears into a poetic symbolic language, opening up new experiences and perspectives on reality and questioning them.
With DER TRÄUMER, Peter Philippe Weiss combines his 30 years of experience as a musician, film music composer, radio play producer, performer, producer and sound designer. But also as a philosopher who asks questions and provides valuable food for thought in today's crazy world. He feels at home in a wide variety of musical styles: dark ambient, electronic, industrial, neo-classical, jazz, film score and more.
He has played various instruments in different bands such as ‘Duure Duure’, ‘Bi-Kids’ and ‘The Look People’, toured Europe, played at the St. Gallen Open Air, at CBCB's NY and at Diamonds Toronto. In 1993, he released ‘Subway’ (re-released in 2021 by Bongo Joe Records) and in 2001 ‘zen jazz’, a contemplative ambient album. As a big fan of comics, fantasy and science fiction, he was constantly looking for ways to transform these genres and bring them into a musical form.
The album GHOSTS will be released at the end of August 2025 – digitally, on CD – and simultaneously on vinyl LP as GHOSTS Instrumental in a limited heavy-weight version. DER TRÄUMER has been touring live with his new programme ‘GHOSTS’ since November 2024: in cinemas, concert halls, clubs, fantasy, comic and film festivals, art events and art vernissages. The TRÄUMER concerts are presented in 4-channel surround sound!
