When the ECO mode is off, the boiler always keeps itself ready to provide the desired hot water in the first second. Therefore, as soon as the tap is opened, hot water is sent from the combi boiler to the hot water installation, and after a few seconds, water at the desired temperature is obtained from the tap, depending on the current temperature of the installation.
When the ECO mode is on, the boiler activates the hot water circuit and starts heating anew in case of hot water demand only by opening the faucet. In this case, it takes seconds for the hot water to reach the desired temperature. This time interval is longer than when the ECO mode is turned off.
In summary, if there will be frequent use, that is, if there will be hot water in the bathroom and kitchen, it is recommended to turn off the ECO mode. However, if the use will not be frequent and will be used several times during the day, it is recommended to turn on the ECO mode.
ECO: This mode functions more like a room thermostat. Thus, the device stops when it reaches the set temperature, but also becomes active and works again when the temperature drops.
