Worst parents ever?
Are we too hard on ourselves?
Do we worry too much about every decision we make?
Do we overthink too much?
Do we ever give ourselves a break?
Our Autistic son Levi Absolutely loves dinosaurs... a lot. Well... Jurassic Park was on TV and he had a total meltdown when we tried to change it. Sooo, we decided to let him watch a little bit while we watched him closely and he just loved it! As we all know Jurassic Park is a bit much, but right or wrong we made a decision to let him watch it! Of course, that was not without hesitation. And so far we've had no issues.
Are there any other parents out there questioning every decision you make?
Questioning your every move?
Always worrying if this decision is going scar your child for life?
Never give yourself any grace to just be human for a minute?
That's us...We do this daily and sometimes we mess up! Maybe we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves but we are! We're going to mess up sometimes!
I think it's okay to make mistakes although we don't want to...
If you're a parent that's always striving for perfection, you're not alone. We are too. But we all make mistakes and that's okay. Just as long as we're always striving to be the best we can be for our children. They deserve that!
