Private Pilot License (PPL)
• Fly for personal or recreational purposes
• Carry passengers & share operating costs (no pay)
• Requirements: ~40 flight hours, FAA written test, checkride, Class 3 medical
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
• Get paid to fly (charters, tours, aerial work)
• Build hours toward airlines or corporate flying
• Requirements: 150–250 hours, Class 2 medical, advanced maneuvers, instrument rating
