Event Schedule
10:00 UTC: Keynote, "Building the Internet of Blockchains" opening remarks by Peng Zhong, CEO of Tendermint. Find out about the story of Cosmos and how we grew to be the second-largest blockchain ecosystem today.
10:15 UTC: Keynote, "HackAtom VI: Ready, Steady, Go!" Adriana Mihai, Director of Marketing and Community at Tendermint, covers the essential information you need to take part in the biggest hackathon in Cosmos history.
10:30 UTC: “Overview of the Cosmos Ecosystem and HackAtom VI Challenges” with Tobias Schwarz, Ecosystem Development Engineer at Tendermint. Learn about the latest developments in the Cosmos network, where you can contribute, and an overview of the hackathon challenges. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions in a short Q&A session.
11:00 UTC: Keynote, “Judging Criteria: What We Look for in a Project” Sunny Aggarwal, HackAtom Judge and Cofounder, Osmosis Labs, provides clarification and tips on how to impress the judges.
11:35 UTC: Keynote, “Starport Challenges Overview” delivered remotely by Denis Fadeev, Head of Developer Experience at Tendermint. In this lively session, we fire up the Starport CLI and review the Starport challenges. We’ll also look at code analysis for scaffolding, improving the serve command to support multi-node testnets, enhancing the build process, and architecting a proper plugin system for Starport.
11:50 UTC: Workshop, “Creating a Loan Blockchain with Starport” delivered remotely by Denis Fadeev, Head of Developer Experience, Tendermint. In this interactive workshop, we’ll create a new blockchain module from scratch for borrowing and lending tokens using Starport. By the end of the workshop, you should be able to start building your own blockchains!
14:20 UTC: Keynote, “User Experience is the Real Gateway” by Michael Sofaer, CEO, Pylons. The experience of using blockchain has historically been very difficult for users and developers alike. Yet, broader acceptance will require good usability on both ends—and Pylons has built one way to do that. Discover the Pylons solution in this fascinating talk.
14:35 UTC: Workshop, "Build with me!: A Cross-Platform Mobile Blockchain Experience” by Mijolae Wright, Software Engineer, Pylons. Learn to develop a cross-platform mobile blockchain experience with Pylons SDK.
15:35 UTC: Round Table, “A Journey from HackAtom to Mainnet” with Billy Rennekamp, Grants Manager, Interchain Foundation, Josh Lee, Cofounder, Osmosis Labs, and Sunny Aggarwal, Cofounder, Osmosis Labs.

16:40 UTC: Workshop, “Sustainable DeFi! (It’s ReFi!)" a hands-on workshop with Shaun Conway, Ixo Foundation. The Ixo Protocol defines how to make verifiable claims about Earth States, verify these claims, issue verifiable credentials, and mint Earth Tokens of different classes, using the Interchain Identifier Specification and Token Templates. In this workshop, you'll see how to build compelling solutions with these protocols and next-generation token specifications.
17:40 UTC: Closing Remarks, “Bootstrapping a Career in the Crypto Industry via Hackathons and Grants” by Billy Rennekamp, Grants Manager, Interchain Foundation (ICF)
