STUDIO SESSIONS: #1 DRUM RECORDING-"Goodbyes"-superfix
When LA band Superfix asked me to record drums on a new set of songs I immediately went to work. This track titled "goodbyes" is without a doubt 1 of my favorite drum recordings I've done up to date. recorded @ 118 west studios in Simi Valley, CA in sept of 2016. The song was originally sent to me with no drum ideas at all. It was up to me to come up with the parts giving me 100% freedom to create. I sat behind the same kit I recorded with (Tama Starclassic 6pc birch drum set) and wrote and practiced the parts before going in to a pre-studio run through to be told "we wouldn't change a thing" This was the end result of putting my creative freedom behind my drums to work.
