My Radio Interview with Richard Lewis (RIP)
On February 28th, 2024, the legendary standup comic and actor, Richard Lewis passed away from a heart attack at the age of 76.
Many years ago, on June 21, 2012, I got the chance to interview Richard Lewis for the radio station I worked for, regarding his upcoming gig in Eugene, OR. It also happened to be his first time doing standup in the state.
What was slated to be a 10-minute radio promotional interview turned into a half-hour conversation about death, comedy, anxiety, candy bar commercials and the state of the world.
And not once did he pronounce Oregon correctly.
