But trust me, being the hero here can lead to some serious rewards if you play your cards right.
🔹 Why Help Him?
A perfect headshot on the cougar with a bow gets you a perfect cougar pelt. Use any other weapon, and the pelt gets ruined. This perfect pelt is essential for:
Crafting the Legend of the East Satchel, which significantly increases your carrying capacity.
Selling to the trapper to craft the Cougar Saddle, one of the best saddles in the game, enhancing your horse’s stamina and health.

Equip the Cougar Saddle right after the mission "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego" when stables become available.
