@padella_pasta really will never let me down and they’re even better know they’re using @walkinldn. It allows you to reserve a space in the queue and avoid standing in line for that dreaded 1hr plus . A lot of London’s best spots don’t allow reservations which means I either try and go at off peak times or else avoid them, I’m super impatient and hate standing in line so all of them need this system! With my extra hour and a half I went wondering around Borough Market and got some bits, as well as having a nice glass of Picpoul at @wrightbrosltd, where I received my text to say my table was ready just as I had my last sip out of my glass!
At Padella I had the Pici Cacio & Pepe, ricotta and sage butter ravioli (both pictured ) and Parpadelle with fennel sausage and peppercorn ragu. I feel like I had a good day for choosing foods as every dish was outstanding! The ravioli was simple but so tasty, the cacio & Pepe was saucier that usual, supper peppery and the pasta was super thick and al dente. The parpadelle was strong in flavour but not too much and it had whole peppercorns in which gave a nice little spice. Hurry and try all three dishes before their menu changes!
