Turning a Bowl John Solberg July 2021
John gives a basic demo on how to turn a bowl. He mounts the blank on the lathe with a screw chuck to turn the bottom of the bowl and a cut recess that his chuck jaws will expand into when the bowl is turned around. He then mounts the blank on the chuck and hollows the bowl. He uses a vacuum chuck to finish the bottom and hide how the bowl was chucked to the lathe.
