LABEl your ports! Make it easy to use in the field.
Manufacturers do NOT make their gear easy to use in the field, in a dark conference room, etc. No matter if it's black labels on grey gear, or no labels at all, just slight "indents" on the plastic molding they think will help indicate what port is what...
Take the time to make labels for your ports - so when setting up for a show, it's super easy to get the right cable into the right port quickly because it's clearly labeled for everyone to see.
