Moving away from FTP and onto Git is pretty straightforward. But what good is moving to Git if you're still using an FTP client to transfer files to your server (and thus, taking your files out of version control once more)? This post explains how to move away from FTP, onto Git, and how to deploy straight from your Git repository—all for free.
