The Island
My interpretation of a song I have loved for 35 years. The Island Paul Brady wrote about in 1985 is clearly a reference to his Irish homeland amidst the ‘Troubles’ yet is also a passionate plea to set aside conflict and ‘make love to the sound of the ocean’.
