For the past few weeks I have been planning a video that I think will be extremely fun and interesting. During my first run I was not successful, I was missing critical supplies that I soon thereafter ordered from Amazon. With my gigantic tube of thermal compound and infrared thermometer finally delivered I can now begin trial two in this video.
Today I will be attempting to build a heat-sink out of pennies! It will need to be able to cool a Pentium 4 Northwood processor. My goal is to be able to boot all the way into an operating system, in this case Xubuntu 14.04. During my first video I had issues just trying to get past the POST screen so this is definitely a challenge. With a new tube of thermal paste and 50 pennies minted before 1982 in my hands I am ready to tackle this daunting experiment. Hopefully I can get this system up and running with 50 pennies atop the CPU.
