Hang Drum / Handpan Duet (April Fools 2015)
April Fools Joke : I've also decided to stop recording videos and live as a hippie in the woods. Because I'll be a hippie, I won't have internet and won't be able to upload videos on Youtube. Because I'm playing handpan now, I'm going to grow dreadlocks and instead of saying "Hello" and Goodbye" I'll say Namaste.
Since you've read this far, please don't spoil the April Fools joke for others in the comments. I know it's pretty obvious by now (considering I do this just about every year ;) - but hey - it's a fun tradition.
The instrument I'm playing was made by Luis at http;//BEllart.es He prefers to call them BElls and not handpans and not hang drums. Thanks LUIS!!!!
My husband, who I dragged out to the park after a long day of work, is playing an instrument by http://sarazhandpans.com. The handpan is his primary instrument, but he's also recently joined the videogame cover band I'm in, http://thewatertemplars.com, as our percussionist.
I'm still learning to play, but at the last US Ocarina Festival we did play a few handpan/ocarina duets.

If you'd like to see more, come to the next US Ocarina Festival. It's in North Texas and takes place October 10th and 11th! Many of the best ocarinists from the US will be there, and maybe even a few from around the world.
I'm sorry I haven't uploaded videos with regularity. I'm working on a couple of very big projects right now :)
