This is a video collage of my song, "A Day in the Life," recorded in Brian Beattie's Wonder Chamber Studio in South Austin, Tx. It will be on the upcoming 2012 album! Starring: me, Dony Wynn, Brian Beattie, Jon Notarthomas, Danny Malone, Ramona Beattie and Finely Sexton.
I very casually shoot studio footage, when it feels right, during the recording process. I mean, it's something I do rather intuitively with a cheap Kodak digital camera. This is also my first time to experiment with real film editing. My goal was simply to provide the viewer with a snapshot of some of the energy behind this song, from inside the studio. Now I'm a complete nerd when it comes to "shop talk," I assumed many of you would simply fall asleep if I included too much of that (believe me, I have hours of footage of me, Dony and Brian just talking :-)) I will be releasing clips of conversations and signature moments as the project continues...to pledgers only.
