Attache Case is back from the (sort of) dead! I had left it for quite a while because I wasn't really happy with it and I was starting to look for jobs, so I decided to try learning a bit of UE4. However, after replaying Deus Ex:HR I got some new ideas and went back to it, and as you can see it's been through quite a few changes.
Biggest change is that the whole top part of the scene which added the action elements to the game has been completely removed, and the game is now more of a straight up puzzle game. There were too many reasons to explain why in this description, but overall I just wasn't really happy with the gameplay, and I realised that repeatedly getting a fully jumbled up inventory to sort was more fun than simply placing 1 or 2 new items every few seconds, which tended to be trivial once the inventory was already sorted.
There's also a new Challenge game mode, which gives you a number of pre-made levels which require you to fit one additional item into the inventory, usually with only just enough space left to fit it. In this mode the layout of the inventory is not scored, so there's no need to worry about it looking messy, all that matters is fitting the item in with as few moves as possible.
The first few levels are pretty easy, but they get gradually harder, and you'll have to make good use of item swapping to complete them in the fewest moves possible! Each challenge also has Bronze, Silver and Gold medals to let you know when you've completed the challenge with the fewest moves, but there are often multiple different ways to fit the items in, so you'll have to experiment.
If you'd like to have a go you can play the current version using the Unity Web Player here:

I think after this my next goal is going to be working on the visuals a bit to make it look nicer (Everything's still very much placeholder at this point) and then try putting it on Steam Greenlight to see if there's any interest there.
