Through Mind Control, the magician can correctly determine the card. The effect can be repeated instantly.
Method and History:
The Mind Control Deck is the culmination of three years of thinking and experimentation of a concept for an effect that goes back many years. The Magician's Dream, by Audley Walsh was performed several different ways. J.G. Thompson's comment about this effect: "Even the best magicians will take a fooling upon witnessing this card masterpiece," A marketed version of this effect was sold by Holden's Magic Shop circa 1940, however the instructions are different from the effect as written in J.G. Thompson Jr.'s book, My Best.
John Kennedy markets an effect called The Mind Power Deck that is a specially printed deck of cards that involves one, two or even three spectators thinking of a card that they see. The magician is able to discern the thought of cards. The individual cards cannot be examined, without revealing the secret to the effect.
The Mind Control Deck, although specially altered does allow the examination of individual cards without fear of revealing the secret.
