Thin Ice
When we heard that our winter storm had actually frozen our favorite pond over, we had to go play on it. Growing up in Michigan on a Lakefront property taught me a lot about identifying which ice is safe, which isn't, and what you can push the boundaries on. I'd only ever fallen through into shallow water, and I've always wanted to know how bad it is to go full body with very little clothing protection. Josh fell through by accident and there wasn't much we could do after but head home, so it seemed the safest opportunity to try it out!
We hope that folks don't worry, we were fully aware from the start that if we were going onto THAT ice, we were going through.
