John Wetton - Reflections (Of My Life) [Short] (A Tribute in Remembrance)
6 years have gone by since John Wetton passed away. The hurt on my heart is just the same as the day I found out. I dreaded the thought of this being a reality that I would see someday, how it pains me... God only knows. The world lost one of the greatest musicians of all time on that tragic day.
I admired John Wetton very much so. He was a hero of mine. His music touched my heart and soul in the most beautiful way. John Wetton gave me much hope and inspiration through the years. I can't name many people that I adore in the same way as John Wetton. He holds an extremely special place in my life.
With him being gone my heart cries out in deep pain time and time again. There is a part of me that will never be the same. As I type this, tears fall from my eyes as rain, silently. Truly, the brightest ring around the moon has darkened. He was a gift from above, a living miracle, a man so great that words cannot justify who he was. Even though I did not know him personally, growing up I felt as if he was my friend. One that I could turn to and find comfort in. His songs brought so much happiness into my life.
John Wetton's wonder shines on through his magnificent creations. Today is not solely a reminder that he is gone but it is a day that gathers us all to remember him for the extraordinary musician that he was and to appreciate what he have us all. The gift of musical treasures along with a spirit of joy.
