How many times has this happened to YOU? A producer or director gives you some shots the filmed with a mobile device or computer screen in them and they had used some artwork that doesn't work anymore?
Or they used green screen on a phone, but since there's no reference to how the interface behaves, the actor is just stabbing and swiping around with their finger. Now you have to design an interface that matches what they did!
This is the BEST way to make sure everything works together. Your temp pre-vis can just be black and white boxes moving around. You can add the final version later on. You obviously can't always control what they do on set, but if you do something like this, it should help.
If you didn't do this in time and have to change a screen in Avid Media Composer, I've got a tutorial for that!
