5. SOUNDBITE (Italian) Diego Paternò Castello di San Giuliano, son of creator of model railway:
"The model was born from a passion my father had for cars and model cars, but then in the shop (where he had gone to buy a model car) he couldn't find any cars, so the shopkeeper managed to instill in him a passion and curiosity for trains, and that's where his passion started, but he was already passionate about model cars. Instead, the idea of the museum arose from the need, which is somewhat typical of all modellers, to share. The modelling enthusiast creates magnificent things and then realises that this beauty must be shared, and so he has a desire to pass on what he feels and his passion by sharing it with everyone. My father developed the conviction that this model was so beautiful that it should be opened to the public and shared with as many people as possible."

7. SOUNDBITE (Italian) Alberto Salvadori, designer of new museum project:
"The locations really exist, and then here they are transformed into a fantasy landscape. It is a mix of German, Austrian urban settings, since the model is based on a Märklin railway system, hence German, and then Piko (German model train brand). But it couldn't be without a bit of Italy, so there is a promontory that is the promontory of Portoferraio on the island of Elba, there are the Dolomites, with some glimpses of the valleys of Cortina, there is the station of Milan, which is, however, merged with the great Hauptbahnhof Station of Berlin. These are actually places of the heart that have been recreated in a fantastic form."

15. SOUNDBITE (Italian) Alberto Salvadori, designer of new museum project:
"Actually, the extraordinary thing is that it doesn't represent anything, it is a big dream and as such it captures the attention. When we close our eyes and dream, we go into another dimension, and are often happy, then we open them again and realise that we have experienced something exceptional that remains within us, but has no correspondence with reality. The goal of a visit to this place is to be able to surrender to this dimension and try to play again."
