For a video conference call, groom yourself as you would for the office. You’ll convey a greater sense of capability when you dress as a leader does in the office. A slightly pared down version of what you would wear in the office can be fine, but don’t choose sloppy or unprofessional attire. For example, you might choose to skip the suit jacket, but don’t wear sweatpants or shorts on a video call—you might have to stand up!
