The Danger of Chick Tracts
You've probably 'stumbled upon' a Chick Tract or two in your day. You may not have realized they were left intentionally by people who were attempting to save your soul, but that's the beauty of their design. They're small, punchy, vividly illustrated and they offer easy to understand, morally unambiguous answers.
Many people may not know the man behind these kid-friendly 'witnessing tools.' His name is Jack Chick, and he was an evangelical firebrand with questionable associates. The entire premise of the theology presented in these tracts was based on misleading information from dubious sources. Never mind that they scared the 'hell' out of young children, and left many of them psychologically scarred for life.
I'm examining a bit of the backstory of "Chick Tracts" to provide a little insight on the madness behind the messaging.
