Welcome to EvergreenHealth’s Neuroscience, Spine & Orthopedics Institute … We’re growing to meet the needs of our community!
Opened July 2017 on the fourth and fifth floors of the DeYoung Pavilion, our Kirkland facility is a single location for comprehensive musculoskeletal services, or MSK. It joins our existing physical therapy and rehabilitation services and neurology services on the second and third floors.
With the support of generous donors through our EvergreenHealth Foundation, we’ve assembled under one roof the disciplines of orthopedics, spine surgery, physiatry, podiatry, neurosurgery and pain management. We provide in-clinic evaluation, diagnostics and treatments. And we coordinate our care with the full range of services offered by the EvergreenHealth hospital system.
Thoughtful planning and innovative design provide ease of access and continuity between MSK services. Our space is divided into color-coded “pods” for simple way finding. Natural light and outside views combine with stunning photography and artwork to enrich the well-being of our patients and staff. Underground parking is provided at no charge, with an elevator that directly serves each floor.
Three pain treatment rooms are designed for pain injections under procedural sedation or with a local anesthetic. Patients move easily from registration to an IV prep room to a procedure room across the hall and finally next door to a post-treatment room, where they recover before leaving for home.
Lean principles ensure a seamless experience: When patients arrive, they self-register with an electronic tablet to reduce wait times and enhance the time spent with the provider and care team. Exam rooms are simple and uncluttered, with plenty of space for relaxed and meaningful interaction.
