Our mission is ambitious, and the challenges sometimes seem overwhelming, but since the WWF set foot in Armenia in 2002, we have been working on some very bold projects, in order to stop the decline of endangered species. WWF has been working tirelessly to save threatened species such as the Caucasian Leopard, Bezoar Goat, Armenian Mouflon, etc. When we began the Leopard Conservation project in 2002, no one believed that there were any leopards left in Armenia. But today, we count at least 9 animals inhabiting Southern Armenia.
